How We Research, Write and Update Our Guides
Study, work and visa rules for Germany change every year. This page explains where our information comes from, how we check it and what to do if you spot an error.
Who Writes Our Content
Guides on admissiongermany.de are written and maintained by the Admission Germany editorial team – the same team that advises students and professionals on admissions, Ausbildung and job routes to Germany. Articles are published under the Admission Germany name rather than under individual bylines.
Where Our Facts Come From
For rules, fees and thresholds we rely on official sources first.
We use other websites only to understand what applicants are asking, never as the source of a regulatory figure. Where a value varies (for example by federal state, employer or university) we say so and give a range rather than a single number.
German Federal Foreign Office and the German missions abroad – visas, blocked account, entry rules
Make it in Germany (official portal of the Federal Government) – skilled immigration, Opportunity Card, EU Blue Card
APS India, uni-assist, DAAD and anabin – document verification, admissions and grade conversion
Federal Employment Agency (BERUFENET, Entgeltatlas) and published collective agreements – training pay and salaries
Universities’ own admission regulations and programme pages – entry requirements and deadlines
Review and Update Dates
Each guide shows a “Last updated” or “Last reviewed” date near the top. “Last reviewed” means we re-checked the guide’s regulatory figures against the official sources on that date. Time-sensitive values – blocked account amount, minimum wage, Blue Card salary thresholds, student work limits, fees – are re-checked when the official figures change, usually at the start of each year.
What Our Guides Are – and Are Not
Our guides explain processes in plain language and help you plan. They are not legal advice, and they do not replace the decision of a university, uni-assist, APS, a recognition authority or a German mission. If anything on our site differs from what an official body tells you, the official body is right.
We do not publish invented testimonials, success rates or ratings. Where we describe typical timelines or outcomes, they are described as typical, not guaranteed.
Corrections
If you find an outdated or incorrect statement, email info@admissiongermany.de with the page address and, ideally, the official source. We check every report and update the page and its review date when a correction is needed.
